Do to the nature of handmade jewelry, patinas change, slight imperfections and scratches will happen with wear - this is true of any jewelry you purchase. We are all perfectly imperfect and that is what buddha bear is about.
Gold is a soft metal and has a tendency to change over time. Sterling silver will darken, but will clean up with polish and rubbing the buddha bear’s nose which will bring out highlights and remind you to breathe.
Repairs
If you piece gets damaged , please contact your local jeweler or contact Joanie and we can discuss repair options at a reasonable repair fee. We want to ensure that your bear lives on. You are responsible for shipping costs associated with any such returns, and we recommend that you insure any shipments for up to the value of the returned item. Please ship via UPS or FedEx Express. Any brokerage fees are the responsibility of the customer to expense.
Please mail the piece to our studio in a padded envelope or box (no paper shipping, please). We are not responsible for jewelry lost in the mail due to improper shipping methods.
Please enclose in the box the original packaging, your order confirmation, the jewelry piece that needs repairs, your return address and contact information and we will do our best to return your piece repaired within 2-3 weeks.
Shipping
Free shipping to Continental US. Orders typically ship within 5-7 days of purchase however because of high demand shipping may take up to 4-6 weeks. Shipping will be via UPS ground shipping . Order shipped overseas will be subject to shipping costs.
Domestic shipping (excluding Hawaii, Alaska, and Puerto Rico) is free of charge with UPS ground shipping. International orders are shipped via FedEx for an additional fee. joanieschwarz.is not responsible for any duties, taxes, or other fees assessed for international shipping, and joanieschwarz is not responsible for delays or other issues that may arise when shipping internationally. Upon shipment, a tracking number will be sent via email. Orders require a signature upon delivery. Please be aware that the buyer is solely responsible for the acceptance of the order upon delivery. joanieschwarz is not responsible for any lost packages or delays in delivery.
